Welcome
On this website, everything revolves around RasPiAI – our privacy-compliant, portable, and affordable solution for running Large Language Models (LLMs) locally.
What is RasPiAI?
With RasPiAI, we have developed an innovative application that is fully open source and based on a Raspberry Pi. This combination allows you to set up an independent network that works without an internet connection and can support up to 20-30 participants simultaneously. This makes RasPiAI ideal for use in small groups or classrooms.
The Benefits of RasPiAI
Privacy and Security
Since RasPiAI operates locally, your data remains secure and under your control. There is no need to connect to external servers, significantly enhancing data security.
Mobility and Flexibility
Thanks to the portable nature of the Raspberry Pi, you can take RasPiAI anywhere. Whether on field trips, train rides, or flights – learners can connect via Wi-Fi and access various LLMs wherever they are.
Easy Setup
Configuring and managing RasPiAI is incredibly simple. All you need to do is burn a prepared disk image onto a microSD card. After inserting the card into the Raspberry Pi and starting the device, RasPiAI will appear as an available network. Users can then easily connect and start using the application.
Customizability
For advanced users, RasPiAI also offers the possibility to make individual modifications. This allows you to tailor the application to your specific needs and requirements. You can use many different LLMs from Ollama's model library and even create and use your own LLMs.
Example Applications:
- Classrooms: Use RasPiAI to give students access to LLMs, making lessons more interactive and engaging.
- Field Trips: Take RasPiAI on field trips to continue the learning process on the go.
- On the Go: Whether on a train or plane, RasPiAI allows learners to access valuable learning resources while traveling.
We are constantly working to improve RasPIAI and look forward to enhancing your learning experience. We also welcome your feedback and ideas.
